Mother’s Day
Motives by Alston Bar & Beef

If you’re looking to treat your Mum to something different
this Mother’s Day, Manchester is the place to be!

Manchester Art Gallery

Your mum created a work of art – so
she must like galleries, right? Located on Mosely Street in Manchester City
Centre, Manchester’s Art Gallery is a cultural hub; and a great way to spend an
afternoon! After checking out their collection of more than 25,000 pieces of
local and international significance, you can treat your mum to a cup of
freshly brewed coffee in the Gallery Café (You probably should… since the
Gallery itself is free).

What could be a better way to spend
Mother’s Day than some well-deserved retail therapy? (Note: for her, not you!)

Sunday Roast @ Alston Bar & Beef

Our freshly prepared Sunday Roasts
make the perfect meal for a special occasion! If the idea of succulent roast
chicken or roast beef strip loin (served with creamy mash, roast fondant
potato, mushroom duxelle, honey glazed carrots, baby onions and a Yorkshire
pudding topped with our special Alston gravy) isn’t enough to sell you – we’re
also offering FREE desserts to all mothers! Give us a call on 0161 804 5555 to
make a booking.

National Football Museum

We’re not here to stereotype - mums
like football too! The National Football Museum, based in the Urbis building in
Manchester city centre (just a two-minute walk from Alston Bar & Beef), preserves, conserves and displays important collections
of football memorabilia from across the UK. Perfect for a
football-loving fam!

Cocktails in 1837

After such a busy day, your mum (and
you, this time) deserves a rest. Why not try one of Alston’s speciality
cocktails in our prohibition-themed 1837 bar! Hand-mixed by our expert bartenders,
each of our signature gin cocktails pay homage to gin and its history; while
our contemporaries are a take on classic favourites.
